More Information Rettig Machine is a family owned and operated general machine and fabrication shop located in Redlands, CA. David Rettig started the business in 1946. David's son Franz now manages the business with his wife Susan and their sons, Franz, Jr., and Bob. Since the beginning, we have worked for customers in industries including aerospace, construction, mining, railroads, and steel and aluminum processing. Our expertise lies in custom, one, or a few of a kind, medium to heavy machining and fabrication work, either repairing or manufacturing to blueprint specifications. We generally build in small lot sizes from one to a few hundred pieces. We have made everything from parts for the Magellan Telescope in Chile to coating machines for the metal processing industry, but we still do small walk-in jobs for local citizens.
