During the boom of fiber optics, many parts were for machinery used in the optical waveguide process. In addition to manufacturing individual parts, we also built complete machinery which was sometimes a one of a kind process or in many cases a prototype for a new process. These machines were " ground up construction " because we made all the framework, machined parts and also did complete assembly including power up and debugging with the designers and engineers.
